Still Alive…

Despite evidence to the contrary I’m still here.. just been distracted with life, gaming, and holidays.

Service to return as normal..

Team Fortress 2: Video Tools, New Maps, Fixes Incoming

Tf2logoThe latest news on Valves plans for TF:2 is circulating the blogosphere at the moment and I’m impressed with what I’ve heard so far..

Firstly the patch will fix "several game-play exploits, improves bandwidth usage, improves stats reporting, and fixes some menu bugs." Secondly the patch will add Valves own video tools (the ones used to make the trailers for the characters) to the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game which really is brilliant for me as I enjoy filming my antics and messing around editing the footage, but the best is yet to come..

Valve also confirmed they are working on new maps for downloadable content! No details on release dates or any info on the maps as yet, but just knowing they have plans to continue support for this great game is info enough for me.. really, go buy it if you haven’t already.. Doesn’t matter what platform, its all good!

Hells Kitchen enters the world of gaming?

Hells KitchenReally? Hells Kitchen you say? Yeah, I don’t see it either but it seems to be happening…

The slow crawl of shit into the world of gaming does not surprise me, its been happening for years, but Hells Kitchen? How long will it be before some suit decides it would be a good idea to commission Big Brother: The Game? How would that even work? Achievements for avoiding racial conflict?

Visitor Stats

Pie ChartLooking over my Google Analytics data it seems over 40% of visitors to this blog have come from search engines looking for Monster Hunter related information.

In case anyone hits me up looking for info again heres some based on the keywords used in searches leading to this site.

  • Devil Slicer starts with Iron Katana. The Thunderbug Juice you need can be found on the ‘Tower’ level. Kill the glowy balls in the indoor area, be sure to search the ground where they fall after dying as the carves are not obvious and its easy to miss your loot.
  • I will not host, upload, or link to an EU (or any other region for that matter) gamesave. If you cant beat the content without cheating keep trying. Half the fun is the challenge of beating things the hard way.
  • My Kushala Daora tactics are to take a poison weapon of some description to negate his wind attacks till you can break bits of him to fully stop the wind attacks. When he flies in the air, flashbomb and bring him down again. Keep working it, eventually after a few rounds of repels he’ll go down. (I still have Daora to beat but that strat seemed to work when I faced it last)
  • The BBQ service will cook fish up for you, try giving a few stacks to find out what you can get.
  • Equipment sets can be defined in the housing area. go to the item box and select ‘Equipment’, from there you can register different sets to slots in your box.
  • This ones tricky to deal with, “Hammer creation”. Im a big fan of hammers in this game so start with any and upgrade them till you find one you like. Im a fan of stun, fire, and dragon element hammers myself. When I started MH: Freedom 2, I started with the fango head hammer, I now have the Gunhammer Prototype ready to upgrade but my switch to S’n'S lately has held back my hammer mastery

Hope that helps some of you who perhaps found my site in error.. keep visiting though, the keywords provide me enough filler to make a post from :)

You can be my wingman anytime…

It took a LOT of questing, and a 300g loan from a generous guildie, but I finally got the cash together for my regular flying mount :)
